Nyrstar Hobart is a large scale zinc smelter located on Hobart's River Derwent, only a few kilometres from the Tasmanian capital's charming and cosmopolitan city centre.  

Our Hobart smelter has a production capacity of up to 260,000 tonnes per annum with key products including SHG zinc, die cast alloys and continuous galvanising grade (CGG) alloys.  

At Nyrstar Hobart, our people and community are at the heart of everything we do. Our operations in Tasmania have created value for generations. Each year, we contribute approximately $514 million to the Tasmanian economy and support the equivalent of 1,891 jobs - a testament to our enduring role as one of the state’s key industrial pillars.
