About the Role:
This hands-on role is an opportunity to deliver impactful outcomes across a range of exciting, multi-disciplinary projects in an industrial environment. As a Project Engineer, you’ll play a key part in planning and delivering innovative solutions and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll work across the full suite of project activities; engaging with technical teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. You’ll also be empowered to frame opportunities, manage risks, and contribute to the delivery of critical milestones that advance strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting project planning, trade-off studies, and execution strategies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned project outcomes.
- Managing stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards and environmental protocols.
- Providing technical leadership and overseeing key deliverables and construction inputs.
- Tracking budgets, timelines, and cost-saving initiatives using project controls.
- Identifying, mitigating and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5–10 years of experience in managing projects, preferably within mining, heavy industry, or the resources sector.
- Bring a proven track record of success across the project lifecycle, particularly in study and feasibility phases.
- Work with diverse teams and aligning project activities with operational goals.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to frame risks, analyse issues, and deliver suitable solutions.
- Have experience in construction planning and contractor management.
- Be proficient in scheduling and project management tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, with PMP/PMBOK certification considered a plus.

Additional Notes:
This role requires moderate intra-state travel (~20–30%) between Adelaide, Port Pirie, and Hobart, as well as some visits to engineering service provider offices. Regular on-site presence is required at key locations to ensure successful project delivery.
