Vacation Student Program (2026/27 Summer)

Are you ready to kickstart your career with an enriching summer experience? Nyrstar is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for vacation students to join our dynamic team during the 2026/27 summer holidays.

This 10-week program provides the chance to immerse yourself in meaningful projects aligned with your chosen profession, helping you gain practical, hands-on experience. This summer internship offers an incredible opportunity to build your skills and work alongside experienced professionals in your field—all while enjoying the charm of Port Pirie, South Australia.

Intake Roles Available
We are looking for students who are finishing their second or third year of study. Please note that this opportunity is not open to students who will be graduating the following year. We are excited to welcome vacation students into the following roles for the 2026/27 intake:

• 2 x Metallurgists 
• 1 x Electrical Engineer
• 1 x Mechanical Engineer
