Overview of the role
Applications are open for Advanced Boiler Attendants to join Nyrstar Port Pirie, across various plant areas working a full shift roster.
Reporting directly to the Team Leader, Advanced Boiler Attendants are responsible for the safe operation of plant and equipment. Advanced Boiler Attendants will be engaged on the 4/4 full shift roster (2 x days / 2 x nights / 4 x days off).
Please note: if successful, you may also be required to fill other positions within the department, such as Control Room Operator, Acid Plant Control Room, or Tapping Floor.
Previous experience and current tickets such as Working at Heights, Confined Spaces and/or Forklift licence are an advantage.
Advanced Boiler Attendants require a level of physical ability; therefore, you must be able to pass a pre-employment medical.
These opportunities are residentially based in Port Pirie, South Australia.

What we need from you:
- Relevant High Risk License – Advanced Boiler
- Heavy industry, mining, smelting or similar experience is highly regarded
- Self-motivated, reliable, and be able to work effectively under pressure whilst being a team player
- Additional qualifications in Dogging, Rigging, EWP, Confined Space and Working at Heights are also highly regarded
