Financial Accountant

Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking for a new challenge in a multinational environment?

We're on the search for a dedicated professional to join our finance team at the Corporate Office in Budel-Dorplein, the Netherlands.

JOB SUMMARY

In this pivotal role, you will manage the accounting and monthly closing for various entities within the Nyrstar group, collaborate closely with external auditors, and provide critical support across our financial departments. With a focus on accounting, you'll ensure accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes, alongside preparing essential reports that impact our global operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Your expertise will not only be valued but will be instrumental in the continuous improvement of our financial practices. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Lead the financial reporting for several corporate entities within the Nyrstar group.
• Engage with various internal stakeholders, from the IT department to fellow finance professionals, to enhance our financial systems and controls.
• Utilize your strong background in accounting to support different projects and back-up colleagues during peak reporting times.

QUALIFICATIONS, WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Economy.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in a multinational setting, preferably with exposure to the metals industry or a mining background.
• Proficiency in SAP (FI CO) and Excel.
• A good grasp of internal controls and an excellent command of English.
