Group Manager Internal Control

We are seeking a strategic thinker with a passion for excellence in risk management and internal controls.

In this pivotal role, The Group Manager Internal Control will be responsible for identifying process deficiencies, managing updates to control mechanisms, and implementing new procedures. Your expertise will help us maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring the effectiveness of our risk management, control, and governance processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Design and optimize internal control procedures to mitigate risks.
• Lead internal control initiatives and process redesigns.
• Oversee control changes and the implementation of new procedures.
• Conduct reviews in areas with process gaps or failures.
• Monitor operational and financial reporting processes.
• Facilitate materials compilation for the Audit Committee, pinpointing issues, and suggesting enhancements

KEY STAKEHOLDERS

• Reporting to the Group Controller.
• Internal: Legal, Risk & Compliance, Sales, Procurement, Business Execution, Finance.
• External: Trafigura Internal Controls Team, External Auditors.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Business Economics, Audit, Accountancy, or equivalent.
• Certifications such as ACCA, CIA, CCSA, or similar.
• Minimum 10 years in internal/external audit or related fields.
• Experience in Oil/Metals/Commodity Trading/Financial Markets is advantageous.
• Innovative thinking with a focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strong leadership and sound judgment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to work in an international and multicultural context.
• Independent, flexible, with strong analytical and influencing skills.
• Ownership and accountability in high-pressure environments.
• Willingness to travel as required.
