For our Corporate Office based in Budel-Dorplein, we are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance & Strategy

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the organization's corporate finance function. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate and timely financial insights and recommendations to assist management in their decision-making processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and various business units, you will gather data, analyse financial performance, and develop comprehensive financial models..

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including profitability, cost, revenue. Evaluate financial performance against targets and benchmarks. Identify areas for improvement and recommend actions to optimize financial outcomes.
• Build financial models and facilitate discussions to aid in strategic operational analyses, such as assessing business viability, exploring operational adjustments, and evaluating marketing initiatives. Manage and maintain the Group's financial model, ensuring accurate representation of the Nyrstar business model, financial data integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. 
• Financial Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance teams of various business units to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans to make sure the group strategy cascades down to individual site targets. Assure deviations against these targets are tracked, understood, and explained to management. Identify potential risks and opportunities and provide recommendations for course correction. Develop robust financial models to support scenario planning and conduct sensitivity analyses.
• Business Partnering: Foster strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and commercial. Act as interface between management and the sites, making sure the group strategy is translated well into action. Gather financial data, understand business drivers, and provide valuable financial insights, ad hoc analysis, and decision support to business units to optimize financial performance.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes. Implement automation, standardization, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage financial systems and tools to improve data integrity and reporting capabilities.
   

KEY STAKEHOLDERS & RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to the Head of Corporate Finance and Strategy .
• Internal: CEO/CFO, Leadership Team, Group Reporting Team, Site Finance teams, IT, Operations, Treasury, Technical teams on sites..
• External: Trafigura management, trading department as well as external auditors.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS
Experience Required

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, RA.
• 5-10 years of experience in a financial/analytical role in a global organization 
• Mining or metal smelting or trading experience desirable.

Desired Key Attributes 

• Strong financial modelling, data analysis, and quantitative skills.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial metrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and use of data bases required, SAP / SAP BPC, Power BI desirable
