We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our team at Nyrstar Port Pirie. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of key service contracts across our Port Pirie and Hobart operations, ensuring that all external services meet health, safety, environmental, and commercial contractual requirements.
About the Role
In this pivotal position,
- Track and monitor contracts ensuring timely reviews, renewals, or terminations
- Maintain detailed and organized files of all contracts and related documents.
- Monitor compliance with contractual terms and obligations, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms.
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure that contracts address all pertinent issues.
- Act as a liaison between company employees and vendors or clients to clarify contractual obligations and resolve any conflicts or disputes.
- Develop and deliver clear, concise, and timely reports on contract status, compliance, and other metrics to management.
- The effective implementation and service delivery of all Contracted services, maximising productivity, the elimination of waste and ensuring maximum value is achieved.
- Identification and implementation of Contract cost reduction strategies and opportunities
- Manage the forecasting and actual costs of Key Service Contracts against their allocated budget
- Provide cost reports on variance to budget to Management to enable proactive reducing strategies to be implemented
About You
Essential:
- Experience in the management of, or involvement in, contract lifecycle management.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to set and measure KPI targets;
- High level of problem solving and lateral thinking abilities;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure;
- Influencing skills — ability to persuade a team or peers to move in a desired direction, build relationships, and negotiate effectively;
- Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills;
- Excellent verbal communication skills;
- Good written communication skills for the creation of reports, presentations, confidential and general correspondence;
- Experience in the Microsoft suite of products particularly Excel, Word and Outlook;
- Experience in the SAP operating system;
- Motivated, flexible, reliable and friendly
- Ability to work well within a team
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Contracts Law.
