 Nyrstar Hobart is a large scale zinc smelter located on Hobart's River Derwent, only a few kilometres from the Tasmanian capital's charming and cosmopolitan city centre.

This is a rare opportunity to work on site in the resources industry, in a capital city location.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Execution Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing all order requirements along the production material flow, from product delivery and supply chain processes to final invoicing.

 

In this role you will ensure the seamless collaboration and integration between the Commercial, Supply Chain and Logistics teams; you will identify opportunities for improvement and recommend innovative solutions.

Key Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Order execution process flows from order creation to delivery
  • Collect and analyse supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and optimise operational efficiency
  • Monitor the status of material and document movements through the order execution process flow
  • Assist in the implementation of approved recommendations and collaborate with broader Commercial Team to drive improvements
  • Collaborate with procurement and warehousing teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Manage shipment tracking systems, resolving delivery delays and disruptions
  • Oversee invoicing accuracy and electronic billing processes for logistics operations
  • Identify potential risks such as supplier instability, transportation issues, or geopolitical impacts

To be successful in this position you need to have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field are highly regarded
  • Proven experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and inventory management systems (SAP)
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
