IT Support Officer

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Regional IT Team Leader, you will be an integral member of our Business Systems Team, with a primary purpose to provide high level customer service support and solutions to our employees.

Your day-to-day will have you provide support, education and guidance in the deployment and maintenance of computer infrastructure and the diagnosis and resolution of technical problems across the plant.

 

Key Duties and accountabilities:

  • Understanding of end user support and escalation processes.
  • A good general knowledge of technical infrastructure including Windows 11 and office 365
  • Proficient in utilizing ServiceNow or equivalent platform for IT service management (ITSM), including incident and request management processes.
  • Providing technical support for Windows OS, MS Office and basic support for other core applications, logging in and printing.
  • Adding, maintaining and de-activating users in Active Directory, Exchange and core application systems
  • Providing Remote and Onsite technical support to all end users including support and maintenance of software, desktop, server, hardware and access to the network
  • IT Policy Implementation – Enforcing IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting – Keeping records of IT systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

 To be successful in this position you need to have:

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, preferably in a medium-to-large sized organisation
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot a variety of issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with users at all levels
  • Service-oriented mindset with a focus on providing high-quality and responsive IT support
  • Willingness to continuously learn and keep abreast of latest IT trends and technologies
  • Relevant IT certifications or qualifications would be highly regarded
  • Manual Drivers licence
  • An eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
