Overview of the role

Applications are open for an experienced and motivated Lubrication Technician to join our Production-Smelting department. In this role, will provide Lubricating services to improve and sustain the availability and reliability of all mechanical assets across the Blast Furnace & Pre-treatment plant. Technicians are expected to deliver specific technical corrective actions.

 

This is a residential role, based in Port Pirie, South Australia working Monday to Friday 8hrs per day. This provides a great balance between work and play. Enabling you to enjoy your lifestyle with family and friends, whilst building a successful career.

What we need from you: 

  • Carry out pre/post inspections in the Blast Furnace & Pre-treatment plant
  • Fabrication of brackets, grease lines and hoses.
  • Include Production department representatives in equipment investigations
  • Maintain lubricating schedules and reporting documentation. 
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for support when made by production and or maintenance departments. 
  • Provide  support on lubrication practices and standards

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experiences:

  • Demonstrated experience in mining, metals, resources, manufacturing industry.
  • High level of technical competence, problem solving ability.
  • Use of  Microsoft Excel , Word, Outlook and SAP  
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical asset failure modes
  • Good conflict resolution skills, strong documentation skills & excellent verbal communication & listening
