Position Overview:
As the Maintenance Execution Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient execution of maintenance strategies at our Port Pirie site. Your leadership will be crucial in achieving operational excellence, reliability and safety in all maintenance operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement and contribute to the overall success of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance execution team, fostering performance, engagement, and skill development.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, plans, and schedules to optimize asset performance and minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with reliability and engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs, building strong cross-functional relationships with operations and production.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Promote a safety-first culture, enforcing safety protocols, regulations and best practices.
- Oversee shutdowns and turnarounds, coordinating resources and external contractors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Electrical, or a related discipline (essential).
- A diploma or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Leadership, Management, or a trades-focused discipline (advantageous).
- A proven leader with 7–10+ years of experience in maintenance management within heavy industry or metals processing.
- Expertise in proactive maintenance strategies, reliability principles, and asset performance optimisation.
- A collaborative leader who can inspire, engage, and develop high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in CMMS and data-driven decision-making in equipment management.
- A safety-first mindset and the ability to foster a zero-harm culture.
- Strong communication, budget management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with lean methodologies, Six Sigma, or equivalent process improvement frameworks is advantageous
