Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity is now open for a Maintenance Planner – Mechanical to join the Maintenance Planning team.
You will be responsible for planning and scheduling services to support the Mechanical Maintenance teams in the delivery of the weekly maintenance schedule and ensure that all works on the weekly schedule are planned. This role is also responsible for ensuring tasks have been assessed with time estimates calculated for each discipline, materials identified, sourced and ordered.
Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Leader, this is a residential role based in Port Pirie, South Australia working a 5/2 roster. Relocation assistance will be provided to the successful candidate if required.
About the role
- Create maintenance work orders from notifications and build individual job plans by adding all operations, both internal and external, and ordering materials necessary to complete the work.
- Coordinate completion of all work scope documentation necessary to enable execution of planned maintenance work by contractors.
- Schedule at least 80% of the total maintenance team capacity with KPI – hours scheduled / hours available.
- Create and distribute the weekly maintenance schedule detailed to days for internal work centres
About you
- Experience in maintenance, maintenance planning or similar role
- Experience in mining, minerals processing or a similar heavy industry environment is advantageous
- Organisational and time management skills to support maintenance outcomes
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships to achieve targets
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft suite and SAP
- Formal trade qualifications in – Fitting & Turning or Fabrication (minimum of Certificate III) highly regarded but not essential
