This is a rare opportunity to work on site in the resources industry, in a capital city location.

 

About The Role

We are looking for motivated team players with great technical skills and a flexible, can do attitude. You will be working a 12 hour rotating shift roster (4 x 12 hours day shifts, 4 days off, 4 x 12 hours night shifts)

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring maximum equipment reliability is achieved by providing effective and efficient preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving equipment failures and improving reliability
  • Routine and breakdown maintenance as well as inspection and monitoring of assets
  • Building strong customer focus between maintenance and operating departments.
  • Provide hands-on support to meet operational deadlines and maintenance targets

 

 About You

 

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Relevant trade qualification (i.e. Fitter and Turner)
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and others
  • Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset
  • A desire to work flexibly to ensure safety, environment and production targets are met.
  • High-level communication skills, with a proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Sound knowledge in the metal processing industry (or similar).
  • SAP experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Knowledge or understanding of continuous improvement is desirable, but not essential.
