Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Condition Monitoring Technician with a strong background in a Mechanical trade or Mechanical Engineering to join our proactive Condition Monitoring Team. Your primary objective will be to maximise plant availability and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) for critical assets, directly impacting the longer-term health of our equipment. You will be expected to deliver technical corrective actions and support our production and maintenance teams.
Key Result Areas:
- Condition Monitoring: Perform condition monitoring routines including shaft laser alignment, fan balancing, vibration data collection and analysis, thermal imaging, and electric motor tests. Respond to ad-hoc support requests and maintain documentation.
- Equipment Modification and Capital Improvement: Assist in delivering engineering solutions and support business case development for equipment improvement initiatives and capital projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement processes to support the achievement of production, cost, and quality objectives.
Key Stakeholders & Relationships:
- Regular interaction with plant operation, maintenance, and planning departments, as well as other internal departments as required.
- Collaboration with vendors, equipment suppliers, OEMs, and external consultants.
Required Education & Qualifications:
- Essential: Mechanical trade certificate or degree.
- Desirable: Vibration Category 1 (VCAT 1) certification, Thermography 1.
Required Skills, Experiences, & Abilities:
- Essential: 5+ years in Mechanical trade role, experience in relevant industry, high technical competence, proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Desirable: Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of electrical and mechanical asset failure modes, electrical testing and fault finding.
