Based in Port Pirie leading the Engineering Department, in this pivotal role, your expertise and dedication will shape the engineering, reliability and capital projects landscape and leave a lasting impact for our future projects and teams.

Join Nyrstar, a global multi-metals business, as an Engineering Superintendent and take charge of ensuring plant and equipment availability through reliable monitoring. Collaborate with our Engineering and Capital Projects team to enhance performance. Lead and support our engineering and reliability teams in setting targets and resource planning. Develop and monitor innovative engineering strategies to meet production requirements. Manage capital projects efficiently and monitor budgets for engineering activities. Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies, proactively identifying and eliminating hazards. Investigate and report on accidents and incidents. Make a significant impact on our site's standards and behaviours.

This role is residentially based in Port Pirie, South Australia, operating on a Monday-Friday roster. Ideally the successful candidate will already be residentially based or willing to relocate to Port Pirie. Relocation assistance will be provided if required.

Experience and skills you bring

     With over 10 years of leadership experience in engineering and asset management in heavy industry, along with a proven track record of managing multi-disciplined teams and achieving challenging goals, you are the ideal candidate for the role of Engineering Superintendent. Your understanding of the zinc/lead manufacturing sector or similar heavy industrial environment is highly desirable. Your resilience, ability to perform under pressure, and unwavering commitment set you apart. Your strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling, coupled with excellent communication skills, both oral and written, make you an effective leader who can drive change and influence others.

Qualifications, Skills & Experiences:

•  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field (required)
•  Postgraduate qualification in a technical or business management field (desirable)
