About the Opportunity
Nyrstar Port Pirie is currently inviting Expressions of Interest from the following:
- Qualified Electrician’s with unrestricted Electrical licence across Australia or New Zealand
- New migrants to Australia with restricted Electrical licence requiring bridging to obtain unrestricted licence
- Experienced Instrumentation Technicians, including those without an electrical licence but with strong instrumentation skills and industrial experience.
This residential position in Port Pirie, South Australia, offers an attractive equal-time lifestyle roster (4 days on/5 off, 5 on/4 off, 5 on/5 off), providing more days off than a standard weekend—including two full weekends each month—so you can enjoy a healthy work-life balance while contributing to one of Australia’s leading industrial operations.

To express your interest for this role, you MUST have
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia (e.g., Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa holder with full work rights).
- Relevant electrical trade qualification
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt within a complex processing environment
- Additional high-risk or specialist tickets such as: Dogging, Rigging, EWP, Confined Space, or Working at Heights (advantageous)
- Experience in heavy industry, mining, or smelting (preferred)
