The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and influential Manager – Human Resources to join our Port Pirie Executive Leadership Team. In this pivotal role, you will shape the strategic direction of our people agenda, champion a high-performance and safety-first culture, and ensure we attract, develop and retain the talent needed to deliver on our operational and growth goals.

This is a hands-on, leadership position where you’ll partner with site leaders, guide a capable HR team and engage with stakeholders at every level, from the shop floor to the executive table.

 

Key Focus Areas

  • Lead and inspire the HR function, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Develop and deliver strategies for organisational capability, engagement and performance
  • Oversee employee and industrial relations, ensuring compliance with State and Federal legislation
  • Drive workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and talent development initiatives
  • Support organisational change programs to strengthen a safety and performance-based culture
  • Oversee injury management, workers compensation and rehabilitation processes
  • Manage HR budgets and continuously improve systems, processes and service delivery

 

About You

A seasoned HR leader with a track record in strategic planning, organisational development and complex industrial relations. You combine a strong grasp of HR principles with the ability to influence, negotiate and lead through change.

Ideally, you will also bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Industrial Relations or related discipline (postgraduate desirable)
  • 10+ years’ experience in senior HR roles — mining/resources or heavy industry experience highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of industrial relations frameworks, employment legislation and best practice HR
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams
  • Commercial acumen, budget management skills and a mindset for continuous improvement
