Nyrstar Hobart is a large scale zinc smelter located on Hobart's River Derwent, only a few kilometres from the Tasmanian capital's charming and cosmopolitan city centre. This is a rare opportunity to work on site in the resources industry, in a capital city location.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Supervisor to join our Asset Management Team. If you're passionate about working in a fast-paced, results-driven team and eager to contribute to innovative asset management strategies, we encourage you to apply!

About the Role:

This role provides leadership to contractors performing work for the Engineering Projects Team, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while overseeing the effective delivery of electrical projects.

Your focus will be on leading the safe and effective delivery of electrical projects, ensuring works are executed efficiently and to standard through contractor and project coordination.

Key Duties and accountabilities:

• Assist in work scope development and ensuring effective execution of work scopes.
• Creating a healthy and safe work environment and building a culture that inspires your team to work respectfully and successfully
• Adherence to Nyrstar policies, procedures and legislative requirements
• General monitoring of contractor performance ensuring quality outcomes
• Helping Nyrstar attain the best possible value for money possible
• Uphold compliance with electrical standards and foster a safety-first culture.

What We're Looking For:

• Electrical trade experience or Electrical project management experience
• Experience managing contractors in a similar context. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and network with a variety of personnel.
• Ability to think creatively to develop new and innovative ways to solve problems.
• Sound computer skills, specifically the Microsoft office suite, and with SAP experience highly regarded.
